Playwriting Monologues With Ang Collins

Join acclaimed playwright Ang Collins (Blueberry Play) for a focused workshop on crafting compelling monologues. Perfect for writers, performers, and drama students, this session explores character voice, structure, and emotional impact. Discover how a single voice can hold an audience. Held the morning after the performance, this is a rare chance to learn directly from a working playwright and dive deeper into the creative process. Join acclaimed playwright Ang - a Newcastle born writer whose work has hit stages across Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and beyond. NIDA-trained and award-shortlisted (Griffin Award, Queensland Premier’s Drama Award), Ang blends bold storytelling with a passion for sustainability and socially driven art. She’s a co-founder, creative collaborator. Lingua Franca creates and present stunning work in Bathurst, from Mighty to Highway of Lost Hearts, Kangaroo and Triceratop, they are thrilled to present Ang Collins’ vivid monologue, Blueberry Play.

Audio Workshop

Go behind the scenes and learn the fundamentals of live sound in this practical, full-day workshop with Dom Ingersole. Participants will explore how audio systems work in real performance environments, from the basic signal path and microphone setup through to gain structure, EQ, monitoring, and digital desk operation. Designed for students, emerging artists and early-career creatives, this workshop offers valuable hands-on experience that builds confidence with the equipment, workflows and problem-solving skills used in the live events industry. Participants will work through real audio scenarios, including foldback, feedback control, routing, and live mixing, helping them understand what it takes to support a show from backstage or FOH.
