The BMEC Showroom, (formally known as City Hall) is a fun, flexible space that can be used in a variety of formats. Removable dividing walls can increase or decrease the size of this venue giving a lot of flexibility for your needs.
In its smallest format it can accommodate an audience of 300+ in theatre style or 200 at round tables but we can use a variety of seating patterns to suit your numbers.
The showroom is ideal for a number of different uses from cabaret shows, concerts, theatre, balls, dance and live music, right through to trade shows and corporate seminars.
With it’s sprung floor, or also great for dance or circus workshops, or performances in the round.
BMEC has two rehearsal rooms which can be opened up to create one larger space.
These spaces will be available from July 1 2024 for ad hoc rehearsals.
Subject to availability, each space has a piano, 2 tables, 10 chairs and access to general power outlets. Rental will be on a per hour basis.
These are ideal spaces to practice lines, jam with your band, work out vocal parts, read through a script or any other arts related rehearsal activity.
The Wattle Foyer sits upstairs in BMEC surrounded by glass with views out to William Street and the Park showcasing a beautiful artwork by artist Martin Coyte.
