Ian Macintosh Theatre
The proscenium arch theatre seats 642 people – 391 in the stalls and 251 in the dress circle. The theatre has a fly tower, wing space and a rear crossover. The split-level seating makes the theatre an intimate space.

City Hall
City Hall is licensed for a maximum of 1100 people, has portable rather than fixed seating and can be used in a variety of formats. Removable dividing walls can increase or decrease the size of this venue. In its smallest format it can accommodate up to 500 people depending on the layout. The maximum for sit down dinners is 550.
City Hall is increasingly used as for performances and workshops as well as cabaret. City Hall has a sprung floor.
Conference Rooms
BMEC has four Conference Rooms which can be set up in a variety of formats.
In a theatre style layout, each single Conference Room can accommodate 60 people.
With the central dividing wall removed a double Conference Room is created capable of accommodating 150 people theatre style.
The Conference Rooms have been used for multiple purposes including training; meetings; interviews; conference break out rooms; dining rooms; sponsor functions; rehearsal and performance space.
Foyers
BMEC has a ground floor and a first-floor foyer with full bar facilities on each level and a lift to the upper level.
The first-floor foyer is known as the Wattle Foyer and features a large and beautiful wattle mural by local artist Martin Coyte.
The Wattle Foyer is the venue for post Season show suppers and has been the location for many activities requiring an intimate and informal environment including open mic nights; book launches; award ceremonies and various musical performances. It has proven to be a very successful venue for visual art exhibitions with larger displays extending to include the Lower Foyer.
