Opening Night Concert
Kick off the festival with a spectacular evening of live music featuring Bathurst’s own CONnection Big Band, showcasing talented performers from The Mitchell Conservatorium of Music.
Joining the Big Band Blast line up is Mosaic Jazz Collective—a dynamic 10-piece contemporary jazz ensemble making waves in the Sydney jazz scene. Mosaic brings a fresh, youthful sound with all-original compositions by Australian composers under 25. MJC will be joined by Big Band Blast artists Jacki Cooper on vocals and Andrew Robertson on sax.
