Ama and Nana
is a new Australian play written by Disapol Savetsila.

This play is currently being workshopped by Arbour Theatre Company, with the support of BMEC Local Stages.

You’re invited to see the cast perform a  ‘Work in Progress’ showing, on Saturday 11 October at 12:30pm.
This is a free of charge event. Witness the planning steps involved, as a local production develops.

Please feel free to arrive in the BMEC foyer on the day, by 12:30pm.

The Synopsis So Far…

Two older women who live in Bathurst have been side-lined by their families and by society.

Nana has thrown herself behind a conservative populist movement that threatens to take over the town.

Ama, a Chinese Australian immigrant, has retreated from society.

But when a chance encounter with a brown snake forces these women together, they each find a kindred spirit in the other that drives them to go on a grand adventure across Australia to try and seize their dreams one last time.
