Join Local Stages for a final hurrah to 2019!
On Saturday 21st Dcember, BMEC will be hosting public readings of the works that have been in intensive development over the last year as part of the Routes Regional New Writing Project; a collaboration between Q Theatre, BMEC & Lingua France and supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW.
The project saw four emerging regional playwrights linked with Western Sydney dramaturgs and directors and actors from across the regions to develop their plays. And we’re proud to finally bring you the final public outcome and stage of the program.
We’ll be reading excerpts from PORPOISE POOL by JoJo Zhou, THE PATIENT FISHERMAN by Maryanne Jaques, and A GOOD BLOKE by Adam Deusien in the morning and then in the afternoon you’ll get a sneak peek at 2020 Season show KANGAROO by Miranda Gott when it’s read in full.
Afterwards join us for a drink and discussion of the works as we wrap up the year.
See you there!
The schedule will be as follows:
Start Time: 11:30am
Running Time: 75 minutes
