The Persian Queen

Persian queen final

Local Stages Presents: The Persian Queen

A new musical, an old story.

Based on the biblical story of Esther, The Persian Queen is a new musical theatre production written by local artists Phil and Cath Snitch.
Come with us on a journey through the ancient kingdom of Persia where the tormented King Xerxes is manipulated into agreeing to annihilate the Jewish settlers of Persia. His young queen is now faced with a fearful choice … should she stay quiet or should she risk death by standing up for her people?

Featuring Monique Grima as Esther, Michael Lindsay as Xerxes, Kurt Booth as Haman and Troy Oxley as Mordecai.
