Bathurst Writers' & Readers' Festival


Bathurst Writers’ and Readers’ Festival 30th April-2nd May. This year the Festival will once again be held at BMEC. There’s a great line-up of author talks, The Great Festival Read panel, and live streamed sessions direct from the Sydney Writers’ Festival. Programs will be available from BMEC.com.au and BooksPlus in the second week of April

The Great Festival Read book for 2021 is Kate Kelly: The True Story of Ned Kelly’s Little Sister (Allen & Unwin) by Rebecca Wilson. This moving biography tells Kate Kelly’s astonishing story in full.
Rebecca is a Hill End based artist and writer who grew up in Forbes NSW where Kate Kelly lived in the last years of her life. Read the book and join in the session at the Festival on Sunday 2nd May. This will be followed by an in-conversation session with author, Rebecca Wilson. Copies available from BooksPlus.
