If you or your organisation would like to see a workshop taught (if you think there is a need and interest in the community), or are interested in mentor or forum opportunities  please contact kylie.shead@bathurst.nsw.gov.au

THE YEARLY PRODUCTION
Each year we are  committed to seeing at least one of the projects that has gone through the creative development program to full production.  This project will be the one that the Local Stages sees having the most commitment to following through, and with the professional potential to do so.  In 2007 the project that went to full production (in July) was Michelle Stockwell's Circadian Lace.  In 2008 Needfire by the Beltaine Collective went to full production at BMEC.

The Beltaine Collective was a collaboration between OzScot Australia (highland dancers), new media artist Sarah-Mace Dennis, Technical Director Phil Glen and creative producer, Margie Breen.  The Collective worked with world class artists; choreographer Kate Champion, Sound Designer, Peter Kennard and Costume Designer, Annemaree Dalziel.   Needfire is a beautiful, energetic and unlikely fusion of highland dance, an original music score and breathtaking cinematic art that looks at the ancient celebration of Beltaine and it's relevance to a contemporary rural Australian audience. Needfire ws supported by Regional Arts NSW.
